From March 4th to 8th, 2024, donBosco-SAFCAM organized for the third time in the Region of Africa-Madagascar, a workshop on “Salesian Pastoral Accompaniment” at Don Bosco Youth Educational Services (DBYES) in Nairobi. The formation was given by three Salesians: Frs. Alex Mulongo, Philip Lazatin and Richard Ebejer. The eleven participants came from the following Salesian Provinces: AFE, AFC, ACC, ATE, ZMB, AFM and MDG. In the first two days some necessary information and knowledge were given by the animators. The last three days were practical exercises of Salesian Pastoral Accompaniment. It was a very good formation with an excellent sharing in the work groups. Participants, facilitators and SAFCAM Team expressed their appreciation for this important formation in the evaluation of the workshop. They mentioned the value of learning from experiences, touching real situations, getting new insights, being in touch with once emotions and feelings. The wealth of experience of the facilitators, the well involved commitment of the participants and the organisation by SAFCAM were really appreciated.
Forthcoming formation:
As we celebrate the 200th Anniversary of “John Bosco’s dream at 9”, Don Bosco SAFCAM organizes during 2024 online sessions for confreres, other members of the Salesian Family and lay collaborators committed in the same mission of Don Bosco.
In a first time, we want to present the “Dream at 9”. For this, first of all, we will use some material from the Salesian Ongoing Formation Centre of Quito (Ecuador). It is a presentation elaborated by our confrere, Fr. Luis Timossi. Later, other material can be used based on the reflections of our confrere, Fr. Andrea Bozzolo.
Later on, we want to present other online sessions on other important dreams of Don Bosco.
This is an invitation to participate in the first formation session in French and English that we will organize online (Zoom) during the month of March 2024. For the first meeting we propose the following dates:
- Wednesday 20th March in French
- Thursday 21st March in English (see link here below)
The sessions will last an hour.

Du 4 au 8 mars 2024, donBosco-SAFCAM a organisé pour la troisième fois dans la Région Afrique-Madagascar, un atelier sur « L’accompagnement pastoral salésien » au centre « Don Bosco Educational Services » (DBYES) à Nairobi. La formation a été donnée par trois Salésiens : les Pères Alex Mulongo, Philippe Lazatin et Richard Ebejer. Les onze participants venaient des Provinces salésiennes suivantes : AFE, AFC, ACC, ATE, ZMB, AFM et MDG. Au cours des deux premiers jours, certaines informations et connaissances nécessaires ont été données par les animateurs. Les trois derniers jours ont été des exercices pratiques d’accompagnement pastoral salésien. Ce fut une très bonne formation avec un excellent partage dans les groupes de travail. Les participants, les animateurs et l’équipe SAFCAM ont exprimé leur appréciation pour cette formation importante dans l’évaluation de l’atelier. Ils ont mentionné la valeur d’apprendre des expériences, de toucher des situations réelles, d’acquérir de nouvelles connaissances, d’être en contact avec leurs propres émotions et sentiments. La richesse de l’expérience des animateurs, l’engagement très impliqué des participants et l’organisation par SAFCAM ont été très appréciés.
Formation à venir :
Comme nous célébrons le 200ième anniversaire du « rêve à 9 ans de Jean Bosco », Don Bosco SAFCAM organise au cours de l’année 2024 des sessions en ligne pour les confrères, d’autres membres de la Famille salésienne et des laïcs engagés dans la même mission de Don Bosco.
Dans un premier temps, nous aimerions présenter « Le rêve à 9 ans ». Pour cela, tout d’abord, nous utiliserons le matériel publié par le Centre salésien de formation permanente à Quito (Ecuador). C’est une présentation élaborée par notre confrère, le Père Luis Timossi. Plus tard, d’autre matériel pourra être utilisé en nous basant sur les réflexions de notre confrère, le P. Andrea Bozzolo.
Par après, nous aimerons aussi présenter des sessions en ligne sur d’autres rêves importants de Don Bosco.
Voici l’invitation à une première session de formation en français et en anglais que nous organiserons en ligne (Zoom) durant le mois de mars 2024.
