In a vibrant and joyous celebration, two Salesians of Don Bosco were ordained priests at Lubaga Cathedral Kampala on Saturday 10th August during a Eucharistic celebration presided over by His Grace Paul Ssemwogerere Archbishop of Kampala Archdiocese.

The two newly ordained priests, Fr. Pius Kayanja  and Fr. Godwin Cekecan, were surrounded by their families, friends, and fellow Salesians as they embarked on their new journey. The cathedral was filled with soothing hymns, color, and joy as the faithful came together to support and celebrate the new priests.

In his homily, Archbishop Ssemwogerere emphasized the importance of service, humility, and dedication in the priesthood. He encouraged the newly ordained priests to follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ himself and of the disciples who came before them.

The ceremony was followed by a reception at Don Bosco Namugongo, where the Salesians of Don Bosco from the entire AGL province together with the Christian community and their families continued to celebrate and rejoice with the new priests.

The priestly ordination of the two Salesians of Don Bosco is a blessing for the young people who have many spiritual and educational needs. May God bless and guide the new priests as they begin their new journey.
