It was on 30th April from 12 :30 pm to 1stMay 2024, that the extraordinary visitation by the Regional Councillor for Africa and Madagascar, Fr. Alphonse Owoudou, sdb,  took place in the salesian community of Saint Joseph VTC Kamuli. The community welcomed him with great expectation. He arrived at the community around 12 :30 pm, and was welcomed by the Salesians, all the workers, the students and the young people. He was welcomed with the music played by the brass band and traditional and modern dances. Everyone was happy as it could be seen on everyone’s face. I would like to remind that the 30th April was also the day of his birth. After the welcoming speeches we shared the meal together. After lunch the visitor held a meeting with our workers. In the evening the community, gathered in the chapel, offered evening prayer which was followed by the good evening talk to the students. « It is good to have a dream but also we have to know that we are the dream of someone : GOD », the visitor said, and he called on everyone to keep dreaming the dreams which correspond to the will of God. This was followed by the celebration for the gift of life given him by God and his parents. The following day, which was the feast of Saint Joseph, the worker, our visitor celebrated the holy mass for us and after this eucharistic celebration he met the students of our school. After this he held the opening meeting with the all salesians working in this community and this was followed by the personal meeting (colloque) with each salesian. It was after the evening prayer that the community gathered for the report and the conclusion of this visit. Our visitor left the community on 2nd May 2024,  after holy mass and breakfast.
