I would like to attract your attention to the Salesians of Don Bosco living in Kira-Mulawa Namungongo-Wakiso District fighting hunger in this worrying moment of COVID-19 epidemic on 16/4/2020. Early in the morning hours various groups of family members coming from different settings had been told to gather at Don Bosco nursery and primary school in Mulawa-Namugongo-Kira County to be given food for self-sustainability. This exercise was conducted actively by the Salesians: Fr. Eli Nyandwi (Director), Fr. Pascal Shauri (Administrator), Fr. Wilfried Mushagalusa (Ass. director), Brother Cyprian Mbazira and Mr. Felix Rugaba (Accountant). Food items, such as beans, rice and maize flour were distributed to the various families who responded positively and thanked the Salesians for the services rendered to them, since this would help eradicate hunger in their places of residence most especially in this period of hunger and suffering.
